About Mortimer Methodist Church

Welcoming and encouraging people to faith in Jesus Christ

Sharing together in fellowship, worship, study and prayer.

A modern church with a friendly all age congregation.  All are welcome to join whether for the occasional service or as permanent members.  Both members and the wider community use the church facilities.  We consider local outreach very important.

The church offers a wide variety of leaders ranging from ministers to local preachers. We also enjoy our 'Local Arrangement' services using our own worship leading team, which is steadily growing. There is something for everyone.

We aim to offer worship for all the family, so the beginning of the service tends to be less formal and involves the children before they leave for Junior Church.  The remainder of the service may vary in style, however there is always a thought provoking message to inspire us in our work with the Lord.  We also have special family services on special occasions such as Mothering Sunday, Christmas Toy Service, Crib Service, also quarterly, a Cafe style Sunday service.

All who love the Lord are welcome to receive communion at our church. This takes place, approximately once a month.

Mortimer Methodist Church is actively involved in Churches Together in Burghfield, Sulhamstead and Mortimer (CTBSM), which brings local churches from all denominations together in fellowship for the benefit of the local community.
